"Standards of Care" summary:

By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you commit to:

  1. Respect others' privacy and confidentiality.
  2. Avoid pressuring participants regarding religious or political beliefs.
  3. Coordinate with the timebank before involving friends or relatives.
  4. Neither ask for nor accept money, gifts or tips without informing the platform coordinator.
  5. Refrain from consuming a member's food and drink without an invitation.
  6. Adhere to a no-smoking policy in a member's home or venue.
  7. Obtain clear permission before using any possessions of the member.
  8. Treat all participants respectfully.

About this timebank:

  1. Timebank members are part of a community, not traditional volunteers.
  2. Credits are earned and spent, fostering a two-way exchange.
  3. Donating credits to others is allowed.
  4. Credits earned can be saved for future needs.
  5. Exchanges should follow guidelines for expenses, cancellations, health and safety and safeguarding.

Rights and responsibilities:

  1. The time giver has rights to earn, bank, donate and receive recognition for services.
  2. The time receiver has rights to be treated with dignity and receive one-time credit for an hour of service.
  3. Responsibilities include providing a satisfying exchange, maintaining confidentiality and following the Standards of Care.

Timebanking core values:

  1. Everyone has something to offer (Assets).
  2. Building home, family and community is valued work (Redefining Work).
  3. Encouraging reciprocal giving builds trust and resiliency (Reciprocity).
  4. We are stronger together (Community).
  5. Respect is the root of equality (Respect).

Terms of Service:

  1. Exchange only lawful services through this platform.
  2. Acknowledge digital offers and exchanges.
  3. Hold Made Open and Adorn CIC harmless for any injuries or property damage.
  4. Take responsibility for accidents or injuries on a timebank member's property.
  5. Immediate termination for harassment or harm to another member.
  6. Refer complaints to [email protected]
  7. Made Open does not guarantee performance or monitor transactions in their software.
  8. Members must protect privacy and confidentiality.

Global and community member guidelines:

  1. Understand the timebank's goal of building a non-monetary community of support.
  2. Use this platform for communication.
  3. Accept or decline exchanges promptly.
  4. Respond to members within 3 days.
  5. Offer services you enjoy.
  6. Be respectful, courteous and flexible in expectations.
  7. Communicate clearly and negotiate terms beforehand.
  8. Discuss expenses before the exchange.
  9. Complete exchanges and log hours promptly.
  10. Maintain confidentiality.
  11. Begin exchanges immediately.
  12. Attend events.
  13. Contact the coordinator for system issues, unresponsive members, inappropriate practices or changes in availability.
